Brushing
Properly brushing your teeth 2-3 times daily will help prevent tooth decay by removing the plaque that forms on your teeth.
Flossing
Flossing removes food particles and plaque build up between teeth and below your gums that brushing alone cannot eliminate. Floss is now available in various forms. For example, many people find hand held flossers more convenient.
Rinsing
Rinsing your mouth with an ADA approved over the counter antimicrobial rinsing agent is very important, especially following meals after which you could not brush. This simple act can help prevent cavities and strengthen teeth. Another important daily rinsing agent is fluoride. Swishing for 30 seconds after brushing allows the fluoride to saturate the teeth, which helps keep the teeth strong and healthy.
