Dr. Suzzette Lirio Ona,
General Dentist/Owner
Dr. Suzzette Ona understands the need for positive and quality healthcare, having 25 years of experience in dentistry. She received her B.A. in Biochemistry from Mount Holyoke College in 1989 and worked as a biochemist until 1994. By 1998, she graduated Magna Cum Laude from Harvard School of Dental Medicine, and received her Doctor Of Medicine in Dentistry. She spent her residency at the University of Washington Hospital, treating mentally and physically challenged adults and children in the operating room and in an emergency room setting. When not providing her patients with excellent and gentle care, Dr. Ona enjoys her marriage with her husband of 35 years and enjoys visiting her daughter’s family, especially her grandbaby!

Kristine Lirio, Operations Manager
Kristine graduated from the University of California, Irvine with a bachelor’s degree in English. Through dynamic experiences in the humanities and in customer service, she feels inspired to maintain effective communication with our caring providers, staff, and patients. She loves hearing patients express their confidence during their visit. Alongside working at Healthy Smile, she enjoys motherhood, nature, music, and learning new things.

Hattie Thomas,
Operations Manager
Hattie Thomas has been with Dr. Ona’s team since 2015, starting her dental career in 1986 as a registered dental assistant before transitioning to office administration. As a Patient Experience Coordinator, she warmly greets patients, provides transparent financial guidance, and leads the dental team to support Dr. Ona. Outside of work, Hattie enjoys gardening, traveling, and shopping, but her true joy is spending time with her husband of 40 years, their two children, and three grandchildren. Hattie is committed to ensuring that every patient has a smooth and pleasant experience from the moment they walk through the door.
Kevin Giron,
Patient Experience Coordinator
Kevin Giron is a dedicated Patient Experience Coordinator at Healthy Smile, committed to providing exceptional care and ensuring every patient has a healthy and beautiful smile. He works closely with the dental team to create a welcoming environment and make patients feel comfortable throughout their visits. Outside of work, Kevin enjoys sports such as football, basketball, and soccer. He values spending time with family, friends, and his dog, Bella. Kevin believes in the importance of nurturing relationships and finds joy in making a positive impact on the lives of others, both professionally and personally.

Christina Pham, RDH
Christina Pham is a Registered Dental Hygienist who graduated from Grand Rapids Community College in 2015. She is dedicated to collaborating with her patients to achieve confident smiles and long-lasting oral health. Christina focuses on building trust and strong relationships with her patients, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable dental experience. Married with four children, Christina enjoys spending her free time with family and friends, dining out, watching movies, and shopping. Her passion for providing personalized care helps patients feel at ease while working towards their oral health goals.
Junko Sa, RDH
Junko Sabe has over 20 years of experience as a Registered Dental Hygienist. Originally from Japan, Junko lived in Canada before moving to Grand Rapids in 2000, where she completed her dental hygiene program at GRCC. Junko is passionate about helping patients maintain healthy smiles and works to ensure their comfort during every visit. Outside of work, Junko enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, cooking, and baking. With her extensive experience, Junko is dedicated to providing compassionate care while building lasting relationships with her patients.
Melissa O’Dell, RDH
Melissa O’Dell has been a Registered Dental Hygienist since 1998, after graduating from Grand Rapids Community College (GRCC). She is passionate about helping patients improve their oral hygiene and providing a positive experience during their visits. Melissa enjoys interacting with patients and making their dental visits as comfortable as possible. Outside of work, Melissa spends time with her two children and their husky, Zeus. She loves attending concerts, sporting events, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. Melissa’s commitment to patient care ensures that everyone receives personalized attention and the best possible dental experience.
Jessie Tang, RDH
Jessie graduated from dental hygiene school in 2003 while working as a dental assistant. She has two adult children and loves spending time with family and friends. Jessie loves being outdoors, she enjoys trail running, fishing, cooking, pickleball and her time up north. She loves being a dental Hygienist because educating people on dental health is very important and seeing people improved on their oral hygiene is rewarding

Kim Luck, RDA
Kim Luck has been a registered dental assistant at Healthy Smile for over 20 years. She graduated from Washtenaw Community College in 2006 and is passionate about making patients feel comfortable during their dental visits. Kim enjoys educating her patients on oral health and ensuring they have a positive experience. Outside of work, she loves spending time with friends, family, and her two dogs, Rico and Marty. She’s also excited to support her 18-year-old daughter, who has just started her first year at Eastern Kentucky University. With her extensive experience and dedication to patient care, Kim is committed to helping patients maintain healthy, beautiful smiles in a friendly and comfortable environment.
Ngoc Le, RDA
Ngoc graduated from GRCC in 2022 as a Registered Dental Assistant. Ngoc enjoys providing education to patients about oral health as well as supporting her team. Outside of work she likes to spend time with three of her fur babies and her loved ones. She also loves to travel and try different kinds of food. She is excited to grow her skills and experience in dentistry at Healthy Smile.
Yunna Choi, RDA
Yunna graduated from GRCC as a Registered Dental Assistant in 2023. She is excited to be part of the Healthy Smile team. Outside of work, she loves spending time with her family and friends, especially with her two dogs and one cat. During summer, she likes to play golf and bond with her dad and his friends. She also loves to travel to her home country, South Korea, once a year to visit her grandparents. Yunna loves interacting with her patients and forming bonds with them.
Bohdan Senyshyn, DA
Bohdan Senyshyn has a master’s degree in dentistry and a certificate from Ivano-Frankivsk National Medical University in Europe. His ten years of professional experience in dentistry include owning a private dental practice and performing planned and emergency surgeries at hospitals. Bohdan takes pride in high patient satisfaction through the quality of his work and caring communication. He is originally from Ivano-Frankivsk, a beautiful city in Ukraine. Outside of Healthy Smile, he enjoys time with his wife and daughter.
Accounting
Theresa Peters, Bookkeeper
Theresa graduated from the University of Michigan in 2014 with a degree in Sociology and Community Action. After graduation, she moved to South Carolina and then North Dakota with her husband. She spent much of her time working in the customer service field before leaving to be a stay at home mom. In 2024 she moved back to her home state in order to raise her two children near family and begin work again. In her down time she enjoys reading and spending time going on adventures with her family.

I had a really pleasant experience here. The dental hygienist, receptionist and dentist are all very friendly and nice. The dental hygienist was very informative and let me know exactly what she was doing, when she was doing it and why she was doing it and that really helped with my anxiety. Quick Service
I chipped a tooth and was able to get in right away. They provided a temporary that stayed intact and after a few weeks I was able to come back to get my crown. The crown fits perfectly and looks better than my original tooth. Very sweet dentists, very quick service, and very reasonable prices for what was done. Thank you Healthy Smile!
