Are dental X-rays safe?
At Healthy Smile we use digital, low-radiation dental X-ray equipment. Digital images let Dr. Ona view the X-ray immediately without film-processing time. Radiation exposure depends on the type of image and equipment used. X-rays are selected according to your dental needs, with the aim of keeping exposure as low as reasonably achievable.
How do they help me?
Dental x-rays allow Dr. Ona to not only check for hidden tooth decay between your teeth, but also cysts, cancerous and non-cancerous tumors, bone levels around teeth, and the health and location of teeth that have not surfaced yet.
