What is a Bridge?

A bridge is a fixed (non-removable) artificial replacement for missing teeth. It is held in place by the supporting teeth on either side of the gap.

Who does a Bridge benefit?

A bridge can often be used to replace a lost tooth or a group of teeth. It will prevent the remaining teeth from shifting into the space, and it will improve chewing ability. Bridges are recommended for those who would like a more permanent solution than a removable partial.

How is it done?

The bridge is modeled specifically to match your surrounding teeth. It can be attached either by preparing the adjacent teeth for crowns with the bridge tooth in the middle.
