Are dental x-rays safe?
Modern dental x-rays are very safe. At Healthy Smile we use only state-of-the-art digital low radiation machines. Only a limited amount of dental offices use this latest technology and we are proud to be one of the few. Digital x-ray allows Dr. Ona to view the x-ray immediatley without any processing time. It also uses 80% less radiation than traditional x-ray. The amount of radiation you are exposed to over the course of a weekend in some major cities is considered more than the amount in a dental office.

How do they help me?
Dental x-rays allow Dr. Ona to not only check for hidden tooth decay between your teeth, but also cysts, cancerous and non-cancerous tumors, and finally the health and location of teeth that have not surfaced yet and bone levels around teeth.
