Flossing
Flossing removes food particles and plaque build up between teeth and below your gums that brushing alone cannot eliminate. Floss is now available in various forms, many hand held flossers make it easier for patients to work flossing into their daily routine.
Rinsing
Rinsing your mouth with an ADA approved over the counter antimicrobial rinsing agent is very important especially following meals after which you could not brush. This simple act can help remove food particles that cause tooth decay. Another important daily rinsing agent is fluoride. Swishing for 30 seconds after brushing allows the fluoride to saturate the teeth which helps keep the teeth strong and healthy.
