What is a Bridge?
A bridge is a fixed (non removable) artificial replacement of missing teeth that is held in place by the supporting teeth on either side of the gap.
Who does a bridge benefit?
A bridge can be used to replace a lost tooth or a group of teeth in many instances. It will prevent the remaining teeth from shifting in to the space and it will improve chewing ability. Bridges are recommended for those who wish a more permanent solution than a removable partial.
How is it done?
The bridge is modeled specifically to match with your surrounding teeth. It can be attached either by preparing the adjacent teeth for crowns with the bridge tooth in the middle.
