Healthy Smile Team Heading to Chicago Mid Winter 2017

The Healthy Smile team is so excited to head out for 2 full days at the Chicago Dental Society Mid Winter Meeting on February 23-25,2017.

The theme of the 2017 meeting is Leadership: Cornerstone for Success.

We are looking forward to continuing our education by attending lots of lectures, checking out the new dental innovation at the exhibits and receiving wonderful hands on training from the dental industry’s greatest.

In order to keep up with all the new advances and technology that the dental industry undergoes each and every year, it is vital for dental professionals to continue pursuing education.   We strive to  gain knowledge and techniques to allow our dental practice to continue growing and provide excellent care and service to each patient.

Here are a 2 major reasons why dental professionals should continue their education:

  •  Allows dental professionals the opportunity to offer the best diagnostic, preventive and treatment methods to their patients.
  • Allows the dental team to grow, network with other professionals all while enhancing  necessary skills in order to provide the upmost care.

As we prepare for our upcoming trip, we look forward to bringing home all the new ideas and refreshing our practice to ensure our patients at Healthy Smile receive nothing but the absolute best.

Keep on the look out for upcoming pictures and blog updates during our trip to the Chicago Mid Winter.

February National Children’s Health Dental

kids-teethEvery February, the American Dental Association (ADA) sponsors National Children’s Dental Health Month to raise awareness about the importance of oral health.

To ensure that your children will have healthy teeth and gums, we encourage: maintaining regular dental visits, healthy eating habits and teaching great oral hygiene.

Recommendations from the ADA:

1. Choose tap water for a sparkling smile!
2. Avoid drinks with added sugar like soda and juice drinks!
3. Protect your smile with a toothbrush, fluoride toothpaste and floss.
4. Keep smiles sparkling: limit sugary treats, eat healthy and brush two minutes twice a day!
